Vits, Tros & Boone upright piano, Ghent, 1841

The construction of this piano is similar to the models built by Dammekens from Ghent. Piano experts presume that Vits, Trots and Boone received their education at the workshop of Dammekens. The three builders worked together during the first years of their careers. This specific piano is the only proof of their joint production. The piano was discovered in 2014 at a monastery in Dendermonde. The cast is in palisander wood with beautiful inlays of flower motives in satinwood.
